Bayside Local is Bayside City Council's annual exhibition showcasing the high calibre of work by accomplished artists who live and work in the Bayside area of Melbourne.
Bayside Local presents an eclectic and energising array of works that range from traditional paintings to intriguing textile pieces, photographic images and experimental ceramic forms. Selected by Bayside Gallery curator Joanna Bosse from an open-submission process, artworks are diverse in medium and subject matter and convey the breadth of creativity in Bayside.
Caroline Barrett's printmaking piece, "Blooms of Bayside", using a pochoir technique, was chosen as a featured work.
